I retired almost 2 years ago from a 33 year career at Chevron Corporation, including an assignment in Angola, West Africa in the mid-1990s. Now I have no more stress, long commutes, conference calls or early morning alarm clock. Now my alarm clock is a nudge from my Golden Retriever reminding me it's breakfast time. I have three kids, though mine are the 4 legged variety (2 dogs and 1 cat). As a retiree I now have blocks of time to travel or spend time at our cabin in Arnold (Calaveras County) as well as Spin 5 times a week and volunteer at my dog club. I havebeen married for 15 years to my loving husband who I met at breakfast one morning in the Cabinda Guld Oil Co. mess hall. We married just after midnight at the Millennium, ringing in the new year with family and close friends. As an 11 1/2 year cancer survivor I welcome each day and truly celebrate each and every birthday. I wish all of you well and look forward to hearing all about the reunion from Colette Ahrens (Bennett).
